Testimonials
The tamariki at St Joseph’s School loved their sessions with Mikaere. Not only has it given them an insight and better understanding of traditional Māori games but they have developed cooperation and teamwork skills, worked on team tactics, and have grown in confidence through these games.

Our students all live in areas that are relatively below the poverty line while being exposed to some very sad events in their very young lives. Therefore, our kura needs to be a safe and fun place to be at all times. This is why Traditional Maori games is crucial to the environment and climate of our school. Through these games our students are happy, engaged and competing in a controlled manner. The facilitator does an excellent job in role modelling the values that we want our students to live both now and in their futures. These are respect, resilient, discipline and responsibility. Thank you for this opportunity.
